Fortnite Treasure Hunters
The pirate mini-season that took over Fortnite on November 1, 2026 — new content, a season pass, special event days, and the rarest chest drop in the game. This page is the event calendar and explainer. Dates below are media-reported where noted; this page is independent and not affiliated with Epic Games.
Chapter 8 transition, reported for early December 2026 — media reports, not officially confirmed by Epic.
First token reported valid until December 16, 2026 (Reddit player reports; timesaver.gg times the cutoff at 7 PM ET on Dec 15). We count down to that ET evening to stay safe.
Reported structure: two activations — one in 2026, one reserved for 2027 (one guide reports Jan 1 – Dec 15, 2027; single community source). No official date exists, so this card will not invent one.
Every date above is community- or media-reported. Epic Games has not published an official schedule for this drop — treat the countdowns as the reported plan, not a guarantee.
What is Treasure Hunters?
Treasure Hunters is Fortnite's pirate-themed mini-season, launched November 1, 2026 with the v43.00 update. Gaming coverage describes it as a short, high-intensity season layered on top of the normal game: pirate content across modes, new limited-time rewards, and — the piece everyone talks about — an ultra-rare surprise drop called the Pirate Shop Access Token.
It is scheduled to run until the Chapter 8 transition, which media reports place in early December 2026. Treat that end date as reported rather than official — Epic's own announcements for the mini-season have been thin, which is part of why rumor and misinformation spread so fast around this event.

The Treasure Hunter pass
The season-exclusive reward track launched together with the mini-season on November 1. Community guides report it carries the season's pirate rewards — cosmetics and themed items across the event weeks. If you are hunting the Pirate Shop Access Token, note that the pass itself does not contain the token: the token only drops from chests during normal play.
Captains Day
Captains Day is the special event day announced for the Treasure Hunters season — media reports describe it as a celebration day with mode trials and rewards. Details (exact date and reward list) have been thin in official channels, so treat specifics floating around social media with caution until they are visible in-game.
