What is the Fortnite Shop Token?

The Shop Token is an ultra-rare chest drop added with the Treasure Hunters pirate mini-season (v43.00, November 1, 2026). Unlike normal loot it is not consumed or equipped — it is a key: once activated, it opens a Pirate Shop window in which you can claim Item Shop items for free for about 14 days. Item shop token: same thing, different name

Because the reward is Item Shop access, many players naturally call it the “item shop token” — and search suggestions are full of that spelling alongside “pirate ship token”. Same drop, same community-estimated 1-in-700,000 rate, same 14-day window. There is no separate “item shop token” item in the game.

After you get it: activation and the 14-day window

• Where to activate: player guides (e.g., IGN's) point to the “Plunder the Shop” banner in the bottom-left corner of the Item Shop.

• Two tokens: community reports say a found Pirate Shop grants two tokens — the first reported valid until December 16, 2026, the second reserved for a later, officially undated window.

Things to avoid while hunting

• No purchase path exists. Chests from normal play are the only source; anything selling a “guaranteed token” is a scam.
