Traps & near-misses
- “Michigan vs Mississippi” is the classic ordering stall — take the less-typed one first.
- No new M states are possible — this list is closed, so it is pure memorization value.
How this helps in the dive
M-state prompts are a study slam-dunk: the list is short enough to memorize in a minute, and the back half (Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Maryland) out-scores the front half by a factor most players never exploit.
