Games Like Two Minute Drill
Eight ways to get a football decision fix — from the official daily game to unlimited practice, daily grids and full simulation football.
The two-minute drill genre is small: one real endgame, a handful of play calls, and a score based on how much your decisions improved the team's win probability. If you have already played the official game and want more, the list below covers the closest alternatives. We include the official game because it belongs on the list — this site is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with it.

The list
1. NFL 2 Minute Drill (official)
Best for: The original daily challenge
The official game that started the trend: one real NFL endgame a day, play calling and win-probability grading. If you want the canonical daily version, start here. This site is not affiliated with it — we build an independent alternative with unlimited practice.
2. 2 Min Drill (this site)
Best for: Unlimited practice and the full archive
Our take on the same idea: a daily scenario for everyone, plus unlimited practice across 265 real NFL endings from 2024 onward. Every drive is replayable, every call is graded by win probability, and the archive shows what really happened.
3. Immaculate Grid
Best for: Daily football trivia
A 3×3 grid where you name players who fit both teams or criteria. It scratches the same daily-sports habit as a two-minute drill, but it tests recall rather than play calling. Great warm-up before your drive.
4. Puckdoku
Best for: Hockey fans who like daily grids
The hockey version of the daily grid genre. If you like the one-puzzle-a-day rhythm but want a different sport, this is the closest well-built equivalent.
5. Sporcle sports quizzes
Best for: Football trivia binges
Not a game in the same shape, but the largest library of sports quizzes on the web. Use it when you want to test football knowledge rather than make in-game decisions.
6. Wordle
Best for: The original daily-puzzle habit
One word, six guesses, everyone gets the same puzzle. Wordle is the reason daily browser games became a routine; the two-minute drill applies that same shared-daily-puzzle idea to football decisions.
7. Retro Bowl
Best for: Mobile football management
A retro-styled football game with roster building, play calling and a season mode. It is more arcade management than endgame simulation, but it is the best mobile option if you want to run a team rather than one drive.
8. Madden NFL
Best for: Full simulation football
The obvious heavyweight: real teams, real playbooks, full games. It is the opposite of a two-minute browser game — hours instead of minutes — but it is where to go if you want to control every snap of a full NFL game.
What makes the two-minute drill different
Most daily sports games test what you know. A two-minute drill tests what you would do. The situation is fixed — score, clock, field position, timeouts — and the only variable is your call. That is why the format works as a daily game: everyone gets the same problem, but there is no single lookup answer.
It also means the game can teach something. After a drive, you can compare your calls with the real ones and see where the win probability moved. The best real-life drives show what that looks like at the highest level.
